Emmanuel is God with us by Basil of Caesarea

“The author sees the incarnate God; he sees Emmanuel, born of the holy Virgin. The meaning of Emmanuel is: God-with-us. For this reason he prophetically cries out: The Lord of hosts is with us. This shows us that it was he himself who appeared to the holy prophets and patriarchs.”

Basil of Caesarea , Commentary on Psalm 45, 6; PG 29, 425 C.

God is with us, not in thought or an invisible form. God is physically among us. He bore our human nature and is closer to us than we think, did you meet Jesus yet?
