“If the Son of God had wanted merely to appear, He would certainly have assumed any kind of body, even one better than ours. Instead, it was our own kind of body that He took, and not just in any way. He took it from a pure unstained Virgin, who had not known man. This body was pure and not corrupted by union with man. For since He is indeed the All-powerful and the Craftsman of all things. He made for Himself a temple within the Virgin; that is to say, a body.”
Athanasius,On the Incarnation of the Word 8; PG 25, 109; ed.Thomson (Oxford Claredon Press, 1971), p.152
Christians believe that our nature is corrupted by sin. Jesus Christ took our human nature – body, spirit and soul – that was not corrupted by sin. For this reason, he took His body from a Virgin. Because his body was not corrupted by sin, He was the perfect Man. And for he was the perfect man, we can look up to Him and He can help us through this life. God is with us.

Indeed, “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. “

Indeed, He didn’t sin neither did His mother sin. Moreover, He couldn’t be conceived by the corruptible seed of Adam, He had to be conceived by the incorruptible seed of the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, the fall of man by Adam’s sin wouldn’t be remedied. For the fall of man by one man’s sin (Adam) had to be replaced by One Man’s (Jesus) Sinlessness . Substituting sinfulness for holiness and enabling the spiritual rebirth of the Believer in Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your reply.
The Egyptian Church has a hymn that sings “He took what is ours and gave us what is His, we praise Him, we glorify Him, and we exalth Him”

My apologies, I had posted a reply, but after reviewing it later I came to realize, in aghast, the gross typo. I was certain I didn’t type the error. So, I’m certain it was “autocorrect,” not a typo or fat-finger on my part. The word which I was certain I had typed was “sinlessness,” not the word I saw in my reply. Please forgive me, I ‘ll try to do better at proof reading.
