So then, God became man in the One, who was born of Mary, as the divine Scriptures reveal by various indications. This beautiful Virgin is also Theotokos, even though they do not want this. For if Jesus Christ, who came forth from her, was a mere man, how did Paul in a letter to the Galatians write, “Paul an apostle not from men, nor through a man, but through Jesus Christ” (Gal. 1:1)? It is obvious that He is not only a man, but God inhominated.
