“O students of purity and disciples of chastity, let us celebrate, with lips full of purity, the God born of the Virgin.”

Cyril of Jerusalem, Catecheses 12, 1; PG 33, 725 A.

We are called to live a virtuous life. Purity and Chastity can be understood from a wider angel, that we abstain from sin. When we cease to sin we declare war and the powers of darkness unleash their anger. We are called to struggle and conquer sin. We cannot struggle alone, Jesus helps us to struggle, He won that war for us. Therefore, let’s be confident that struggling to be chaste and pure in mind and heart will get us to celebrate with Him.
