Amphilochius puts words into elder Simeon’s mouth and says:

“It is enough, O Virgin, to be called the Mother. It suffices to be the nurse of him who nurtures the world. It is a great thing to have held within your flesh the One who upholds all things.”

Amphilochius of Iconium, On the birth of Christ 4; PG 39, 41 A.

Virgin Mary was open to God’s invitation to work in her for the world’s salvation. Would you allow God to work through you for the salvation of yourself and those around you? If we allow God to enter into our hearts and lives we will need nothing because we know Him who has everything.
